The conference entitled 'Shaping your Vision' demonstrated how geographic information system (GIS) technology is helping to shape public and private sector organisations' vision of the future and create the right environment for making better informed decisions.
GIS was applied to real world situations and challenges, demonstrating the ability of GIS to focus resources, inform analysis, reduce operating costs, increase efficiencies and forecast trends leading to a more sustainable future.

ESRI (UK) GIS Innovation Awards
The ESRI (UK) GIS Innovation Awards took place on the evening of the Plenary, Monday 10 May. Organisations were awarded for demonstrating visionary thinking in their development and application of GIS solutions.
